The winner of the WRB 'Back to School' Photo Competition was announced on 6 September 2010 at Midnight Haven.  DJ Damion Belargio and hostess Allira Kytori rocked the house with some great 'school' classics;

Another Brick In The Wall -

We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control...Teachers leave them kids alone...      

and of course "I Don't Like Mondays", "Jeremy", and some of my favorites....yes very "Old School".... "Rock 'n' Roll High School" by The Ramones, "(Remember the Days of the) Old Schoolyard" by Cat Stevens, "Revolution In The Classroom" By The Sex Pistols, "Don't Stand So Close to Me" by The Police, "Bitch School" by Spinal Tap....oh those were the days!  

And of course we can't forget some of those great school movies, the first that comes to mind for me is Grease released in 1978, it was a raunchy, rock n' roll delight that brought Danny Zucko (drop dead gorgeous  John Travolta) and Sandy Olsson played by Olivia Newton John into the lives of teenagers around the globe. Oh my god...I still know all the words to " Beauty School Drop Out and Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee...ok I admit it, I know all the words to every song and most of the script!!!  Who was I trying to kid?


INTERVIEW TIME:  I managed to get hold of Princess Oaks to have a chat about her winning photo; "UMMMMM, NOT!!!...LOL."


Princess Oaks and I have been playing interview tag.  Once I have been able to pin Princess Oaks down in between our hectic schedules I will post the interview.
